support@tidi.fyiTidi says it cannot see my Downloads folder.
Tidi runs in Apple's sandbox, so macOS grants it access one folder at a time. Open Settings ▸ Folders in Tidi and press Grant Access next to the folder, then choose that same folder in the panel macOS opens. The permission is remembered from then on.
If the panel opens somewhere else, navigate back to the folder Tidi named. macOS only grants what you actually select, so picking a parent or a different folder will not work.
I sorted the wrong folder. Can I undo it?
Yes, and it reverses the whole batch rather than one file. Press ⌘Z, or use the undo control that appears when a sort finishes.
Tidi records every move in a transaction journal before touching anything, so undo works after the toast has gone and after you have moved on to something else. Files are moved, never rewritten, and a name collision becomes file (2).ext instead of overwriting what was there.
Can I change what goes where?
All of it. Open Smart Tidi ▸ Rules & Filters. Every rule has a toggle, and the pencil opens the visual builder where you can match on extension, name pattern, size, age, or text found inside the file, and pick the destination folder.
You can also type what you want in the plain-English field — “Move screenshots older than 3 days to Pictures/Screenshots” — and Tidi will write the rule for you. Reset to Defaults puts the original five rules back.
I bought the unlock but it is not showing.
Open Settings ▸ Purchases and press Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with — the unlock is tied to the Apple Account, not the Mac, so it restores on every Mac you own.
If it still does not appear, send us the date of purchase and we will sort it out.
Does Tidi send my files anywhere?
No, and it could not if it wanted to. Tidi ships without the network entitlement, so macOS blocks any outgoing connection at the operating-system level. Text recognition runs on-device through Apple's Vision framework.

What does Tidi run on?
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
How do I remove Tidi completely?
Drag Tidi from your Applications folder to the Trash. Its settings and transaction journal live inside its sandbox container, ~/Library/Containers/com.bradZellman.Tidi; delete that folder to remove every trace. Files Tidi has already organised stay exactly where they are.
